This is the car that provided the inspiration for the creation of FastFiveO. I have owned this 1993 Cobra for over 14 years, and not much has changed since it was purchased. SVT #3593 is nick named "Mallory" born on May 25, 1993. The rare Cobra wears teal metallic paint with black cloth interior (codes RD DJ) and is 1 of 185 93' Cobras in this color combination. Modifications are strictly bolt on mods including a Kenne Bell Supercharger, Ford Racing GT40X aluminum heads, Steeda cam, 24lb injectors, Ford Racing stainless shorty headers, full 2-1/2 inch exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, Maximum Motorsport caster/camber plates, Tokico struts and shocks, welded in subframe connectors, Ford C lowering springs, 3:73 gears and Metco upper and lower rear control arms. The car has just over 99,000 miles on the clock and drives amazing. With over 400 horsepower to the tires.... this 5.0 Cobra is a blast to drive!!
This car was purchased from the original owner with just over 48,000 miles on the clock. This SN95 Cobra nick named "The 94" was born on May 26, 1994 and wears crystal white paint with saddle leather interior (codes ZF 4S). All of the original parts the first owner changed came with the car. The original wheels still have the Goodyear tires that were on the car when it was purchased new. Crystal white is one of my favorite colors on a SN95 Cobra. Modifications are full 2-1/2 inch exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, K&N air filter, 3:73 gears, short throw shifter, a strut tower brace and Ford Racing chrome 95 Cobra R wheels. Everything on the car works including the air conditioning.
In 2023 the plans I have for the car are to keep it streetable, but with more power! Upgrades will be a set of aluminum heads, upgraded cam shaft, shorty headers and Vortech V3 Supercharger. Video of the upgrades coming soon!
Of all of the cars I own, this vermillion red 1993 LX hatch is the one I've known... well.. the second longest. In 2006 I helped a friend find and purchase the car as a roller. After many years of not completing an engine build, the car was sold to her son. Fast forward to 2021 and the car had been sold again. While looking through Facebook marketplace, I found the car in Florida and immediately got in contact with the owner and made arrangements to buy it. This Mustang LX, nick named "Rhonda" wears vermillion red paint with black cloth interior (codes EP DJ). With just over 90,000 on the clock, the car looks like it has half of that mileage on it.
The car was repainted at some point in the late 1990's and shows very well. Currently, the car has a built carbureted 408 stroker between the fenders with long tube headers. My plans are to install the Holley Terminator X EFI wiring kit in the car and return it to fuel injection... along with the 408 stroker. The car has a long list of modifications and looks fairly stock with the exception of a 3 inch Cervinis cowl hood and a Saleen spoiler. I'll probably put a set of Saleen replicas on the car to continue the Saleen clone theme. This is a really nice clean car with super clean interior. I can't wait to get this beast finished and on the drag strip! Keep an eye out for video of the progress.
This is the first Mustang I ever purchased in the late 1990's and wish it still looked like this picture taken in 2017. The story on this car will be explained later on in much more detail. Stay tuned and check back on the story of the "Calypso" that unfortunately doesn't end the way I had planned. More to follow!
